Cylinder Testing

Cylinder Filling

A7308651

We can refill any size cylinder. Filling gases include BS dry air, CO2, nitrogen, FM200, IG55, IG541, water mist, and halon for exemptions. Service exchange units are sometimes available.

CO2 Cylinder Refilling

CO2 fire suppression systems are an ideal solution for local fire suppression applications. It suppresses a fire by cooling and asphyxiating the fire, removing the essential oxygen and heat it needs.

CO2 has been used effectively for many years, not only in fire protection and suppression but also in other commercial applications. Although the use of CO2 as an extinguishing agent declined with the introduction of halons, it is still widely used for fire protection, especially since the Montreal Protocol was introduced (where bases were established to ban the use of halon extinguishers).

FM200 (HFC227ea) Cylinder Refilling

FM200 fire suppression is a suitable agent for normally occupied areas. FM200 systems are commonly used in data centres, telecommunication facilities etc.FM200 is also known as HFC227ea.

FM200 is a synthetic/chemical fire suppression gas and extinguishes a fire by removing the free radicals or heat elements from the fire triangle.

One of the main advantages of FM200 fire suppressions systems is the small amount of agent required to suppress a fire. This means fewer cylinders are required which saves space.

IG55 (Argonite) Cylinder Refilling

IG55 Fire Suppression is 50% argon and 50% nitrogen. The blend of argon and nitrogen is used to reduce oxygen to below 15% and above 12%. Oxygen levels below 15% will not allow a fire to burn as the oxygen is simply not there to fuel the fire. Levels of oxygen between 12% and 15% is adequate to sustain human life.

IG55 fire suppression is considered a green option and has many advantages used in the right application, often found in data centres, telecommunication facilities etc.

IG541 (Inergen) Cylinder Refilling

IG541 fire suppression agent is made up of 50% argon, 42% nitrogen and 8% CO2.
IG541 or Inergen fire suppression is a highly effective extinguishing agent and prevents re-ignition with no risk to people or damage to equipment.

Ideal for the protection of archives, museums, libraries and any other hazards including valuable or unique property.

Water Mist Fire Suppression Systems

Water mist fire suppression is a simple but effective solution. It works only when the heat is sufficient to draw in the micro particles of water.

As the heat intensifies, water droplet particles are drawn into the fuel/heat mixture and this creates a cooling effect and the fire is extinguished.

Water mist suppression systems are not suitable for IT infrastructure or in installations that will be harmed by the discharge of the system.

There are two types of water mist suppression systems available, high and low pressure.
