The JB93 Lifejacket/Emergency Descent Device Chest is a multi purpose chest for the storage of safety equipment. The most popular uses are for the storage of  foam filled lifejackets or emergency descent equipment. The exact quantity depends on the types being stored. They are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals (both pending).

The design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM seal around the door aperture. The 316 Stainless steel hinges and lid catches are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. The lid catches are large enough to be opened even when wearing gloves and positioned so one person can open the chest. Anti-tamper seals can be fitted to the lid catches. The  chest comes with stainless steel lockable door stays to make it easier and safer to check the contents in high winds such as at the top of a wind turbine.
