Fire Training

Fire Extinguisher Training

Under U.K legislation the responsible person is required to be trained in the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by an employee to safeguard him/herself and other relevant persons on the premises. The responsible person must appoint one or more competent persons to assist him in undertaking the preventive and protective measures.

Fire Safety in England and Wales is governed by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and in Scotland the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005.

Each employee will require a basic level of fire awareness training. This will vary with the level of risk in the premises.

This course gives each delegate practical fire extinguisher training such as which fire extinguisher is suitable for which risk. Delegates will be able to physically use fire extinguisher and, with prior notice, delegates can be given the chance to use fire extinguishers to put out controlled fires.

The course lasts around 1hour 30 minutes. On completion delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
